Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
A progressive-minded pastor arrives at his new post at a rural Indiana church, and quickly becomes the local pariah for his efforts to alter the status quo. When Pastor Evan Bennett (Roy Lynam) arrived at Egypt Valley Community Church, he was determined to repair the crumbling parish, and balance its budget. When Pastor Bennett proposes that the congregation cuts foreign mission spending, however, the traditional-minded locals quickly turn on him. Increasingly frustrated by the legacy church members' mantra "We've never done it that way before", Pastor Bennett sets out to prove that sometimes in order to effect real change, you have to let go of the past, and start to look forward. Based on a true story.
