Synopsis by Mark Deming

Sally Morgan is a middle-aged single mother from a working class community in England. Morgan is also a psychic, to take her at her word, and she's trying to earn a living for herself and her extended family by marketing her supposed paranormal talents. In hopes of finding a larger audience for her services, Morgan has come to the United States, and Seeking Sally: A Psychic's Tale is a documentary which follows Morgan during her sojourn in America, as she tries to win media attention while staying with a sympathetic admirer in Connecticut. While Morgan has charm to spare and clearly knows how to relate to people, is she actually blessed with psychic powers or merely someone who has studied the art of "cold reading," as a paranormal investigator suggests? Seeing Sally: A Psychic's Tale received its world premiere at the 2007 Full Frame Documentary Film Festival.
