Produced originally for FR3 Lyon TV in France, the 46-minute program follows a team at the Guimet Museum of Natural History as they explore various aspects of the ancient Egyptian civilization. Details of daily life, work, worship, burial rituals, and sailing technology are documented. A "technologically sophisticated autopsy" performed on an Egyptian mummy is a highlight of the film.
