Synopsis by Jonathan Crow
Veteran stuntman Cho Wing makes his directorial debut with this low-budget critically panned yarn about Wong Kar-lok (Jimmy Wong Kar-lok), a crack Special Defense Unit officer who is unjustly disciplined after shooting an innocent by-stander in a hostage situation. His career looking dead in the water, Kar-lok resigns from the force and agrees for half a million dollars to venture to the Philippines and rescue Mandy (Hilary Tsui Ho-ying), the kidnapped daughter of a wealthy Hong Kong businessman. Once in Manila, Wong manages to recruit a small army of ex-cops and local thugs, but the army proves to be too small to rescue Mandy. After a bruising firefight, Kar-lok regroups and procures better guns.
