Synopsis by Nicole Gagne
Dante Trilli is a schoolteacher in Southern Italy who takes a teaching job in Milan. Pilade Mucci, a friend of Dante's from childhood, also works there, and the two are happily reunited. At the school, Dante becomes smitten with the lovely Laura, a substitute teacher. She soon leaves the school, however, when she gets a high-paying job as a model. The unhappy Dante turns his attention to assisting Pilade in promoting one of his inventions, and although their efforts, at first, bring them to the brink of financial ruin, their fortunes are restored when an industrialist buys the patent. Pilade also hires Dante and puts him in charge of public relations, but while attending the school's award ceremony, Dante realizes he belongs with the students and decides to remain a teacher.
