Sammy Maudlin (Joe Flaherty) and William B. (John Candy) play host to surprise guest star Bob Hope (Dave Thomas), whose outtakes from his latest direct-from-China TV special upstages a particularly wretched monologue from Bobby Bittman (Eugene Levy) -- as does another surprise drop-in by Danny Thomas (Tony Rosato). Elsewhere, silent movie star Veronica Swansong (Robin Duke) is squired by the young director of "Sunrise Semester" (Rick Moranis). On "Kanadian Korner," the McKenzie brothers (Moranis, Thomas) discuss the miracle of back bacon. And in the first volley of a recurring gag, Gregory Peck (Joe Flaherty) stars in a remake of Taxi Driver.
