Synopsis
A look at infestations by nonnative species around the world. Included: the Caribbean "killer algae" caulerpa taxifolia, which has devastated the Mediterranean and has also been found off California; Asian longhorn beetles, which are killing trees in New York (this segment also explores America's century-long battle with the gypsy moth); dust caused by West African desertification that has found its way to the Caribbean, where it is damaging coral reefs.
