Synopsis by Forrest Spencer

For over one hundred years filmmakers have created their imagination of life in the future on celluloid, a future that is alluring, magical, intriguing, awe-inspiring and terrifying. This documentary profiles over sixty motion picture films, examining the various speculations and possibilities of life in the future from the social structure, the economic stature, the fight between man and machine. Actor Mark Hamill narrates this documentary that features clips from such films as Blade Runner, 2001: A Space Odyssey, the cold Metropolis, the genetically frightening Stepford Wives, Terminator 2, Total Recall and Barbarella.
