Synopsis by Andrea LeVasseur

German filmmaker Henner Winckler makes his feature debut with the realistic teen drama Klassenfahrt (School Trip). A group of Berlin high school students take a class trip to a Polish resort on the Baltic sea. Bored by the routine tourist day trips and unable to speak Polish, they spend their free time searching for thrills. Moody outcast Ronny (Steven Sperling) finds himself attracted to classmate Isa (Sophie Kempe), especially when their respective roommates (Maxi Warwel and Jakob Panzek) get together. When Isa develops an interest in local boy Marek (Bartek Blaszczyk), Ronny is motivated to try and win her affections. Klassenfahrt premiered at the 2002 Berlin International Film Festival.
