A young black chemist (C. Edward Brown) has invented a substitute for gasoline in this silent melodrama from Reol Productions, a leading producer of African-American screen entertainment. Paul Jackson's invention is desired by the chemical company's secretary, Juan Bronson (Lawrence Chenault), who kidnaps the young inventor. Paul manages to get a message out to his girlfriend Isabel Benton (Edna Morton) and the plucky girl hides the secret formula. To force her hand, Bronson frames Paul for theft, but Isabel has collected enough evidence to clear her boyfriend's name.
