Synopsis by Clare Perez-Izaguirre Lopez
"Black Lives Matter" activist Sandra Bland was arrested by police in Waller County in 2015 for failing to signal a lane change, but died three days later, while still in police custody, in what was described as a suicide. Her mysterious death immediately raised questions as to how this tragedy occurred. Exploring Sandra's life, her wrongful arrest, and the consequent trial after her death, this documentary directed by Kate Davis and David Heilbroner explores questions about racial injustice in the United States today.
