Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Known to his enemies (and a few of his friends) as "Attila the Tongue," acerbic right-wing radio talk-show host Michael Savage was installed as the MSNBC cable network's "token conservative" on this Saturday-afternoon gabfest. Following the format of his successful syndicated radio series, Savage spent less time chatting with callers than he did venting his outrage at the perceived injustices and outrages perpetrated by the "liberal left." Since the series premiered just as America was poised to go to war against Iraq, Savage railed against the anti-war crowd by using film clips of Iraqi atrocities and WWII propaganda films. Well, at least he kept it "visual," which was more than could be said for most radio-to-TV transplants of the early 21st century. Savage Nation debuted March 8, 2003.
