Synopsis by Fred Beldin

Jim Parrish (James Lawless) is a grocery-store owner from Iowa who wins a weekend trip to Las Vegas. Though Jim has never gambled before in his life, he finds that winning comes easy to him, and this tremendous luck encourages him to stay a few days longer in hopes of accumulating enough to expand his business. What Jim doesn't know is that Satan (Paul Davies) has bestowed this lucky streak upon him, for no other reason than to see what will happen when an honest, small-town fellow is let loose in Sin City. The casino boss (Warren Frost) takes notice of Jim and is sure that he has some kind of system, so he sends out his statistics expert (Shirley Venard) to befriend the lucky gambler and figure out how he cheats. Together the pair stumble upon an elaborate plot to defraud the casino, and Jim finds himself embroiled in an adventure that he could never have foreseen in his small hometown. Meanwhile, Satan occasionally pops up to comment sardonically on the action, unseen to the players. This low-budget action film was originally titled Jackpot.
