Synopsis by Bhob Stewart
Lukas Nola made his directorial debut with this Croatian drama that offers thriller aspects, political angles and a Twin Peaks reference (a character named Laura Palamar). Ida (Barbara Nola) gives testimony about criminal links to a Serb invasion of a Croat community. After her prostitute sister Laura's unexplained death in a brothel run by coke-fiend Vuk (Ivo Gregurevic), Ida turns hooker herself to investigate. She soon discovers that brothel supervisor Hrvoje (Goran Grgic) is actually an undercover cop doing his own investigation of crazed killer Vuk. Shown at the 1998 Sarajevo Film Festival.
