Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Filmmaker Pritchett Cotton explores the controversial theory that American blacks were never truly released from the shackles of slavery, but instead offered the illusion of freedom by a government that methodically used financial and social constraints to prevent them from advancing within the context of the culture of the U.S. Host Rev. C.L. Bryant contrasts the social and political climates of early-21st century America against the mood of the country at the time of the civil rights movement of the 1950s and '60s while traveling across the country interviewing politicians and leaders, who comment about the concept of a "new underground railroad" that reveals the depths of the government's deception of the people.
