Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy (1890-1995) experienced enough history and tragedy for two lifetimes. Her husband, Joe Sr., built a fortune for them and became an ambassador. She bore nine children, including a war hero, Joe Jr.; the 35th U.S. president, John F. Kennedy;and two U.S. senators, Robert F. Kennedy and Edward M. Kennedy. Of her sons, only Teddy escaped violent death. This documentary features the Kennedy matriarch at age 97 reminiscing about the highs and lows of her life and of the lives of her famous sons. Highlights include interviews with family, friends and associates, as well as home movies and archival footage.
