Synopsis by Dan Pavlides
A teenager passes from being a boy to becoming a man in this somber coming-of-age drama. Voita (Jaromir Hanzlik) is a young student who works at a carnival where the beautiful Terina (Zuzana Ciganova) runs the carousel. Voita is not alone in his affection for Terina, as the man who runs the shooting gallery also carries a torch for the girl. An older woman tries to seduce Voita by swimming naked in a nearby stream. The real love story of the feature is the relationship between Voita and his grandfather (Janusz Strachocki), as Voita cares for the old man after he has suffered a debilitating stroke. Although the action is slow-moving, it is rich with emotion and caring as Voita goes through a difficult time in his life and tries to do the right thing by his family.
