Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
The rebellious son of a Jamaican immigrant wages a valiant fight to take control of his fate by storming the world of dirt-track stock-car racing in director Mustapha Khan's adrenaline-charged coming of age drama. BC Cook was just a young boy when his father abandoned his family. With foreclosure looming and the future looking uncertain, the young go-kart racer spends his days in his father's garage, and his nights getting into trouble with his best friend Rudy. In order to make a little extra money, BC and Rudy sell generic pharmaceuticals. Though things start to look up for BC when his old friend Faith comes back into the picture, a subsequent run-in with the police finds him given one final chance to get his life back on track. Seeking his salvation behind the wheel, BC soon returns to the world of racing and learns that in order to grow up, he must finally take responsibility for his own future.
