Synopsis by Emru Townsend
While Rick and Claudia mourn the loss of Roy Fokker, Captain Gloval is trying to find a way to get the civilians off the ship, despite the Earth government's orders. Gloval's tactics work, and the Ontario quadrant offers to give the SDF-1's civilians a home. As the SDF-1 changes course, Miriya comes to Azonia with a request to become a micronian spy; unable to cope with the fact that she has been bested in combat by Max, she intends to find him on the ship and kill him. Khyron uses the delivery operation as a pretext to launch another attack on the ship, and the SDF-1 comes under heavy fire as they fly over Ontario's populated areas. Rick, now flying Roy's old fighter plane and reassigned as the Skull Squadron's leader, goes into battle for the first time since his hospitalization. When Khyron presses the attack even harder, Gloval is forced to use the new experimental barrier system to protect the ship. Khyron's continued battering overloads the barrier, resulting in an energy discharge that wipes out his forces as well as the city below, and also claims the life of another friend of Rick's.
