In this drama, a desperate bank clerk, teetering on the brink of financial ruin, attempts to save himself by embezzling $200,000 from his employer. Unfortunately, he is caught; fortunately, it is after he has hidden the loot. His plan is to serve his time and then enjoy the money when he is freed. An avaricious gang has their eye on the money; to get it, they plan a prison break, but it is botched and the clerk is caught. He then goes on to serve his sentence. Upon his release he is dismayed to discover that his good wife had found the stash and dutifully returned it to the bank.
