Synopsis by Janiss Garza
The vampy Lola (Cora Linton) dumps Valasquez, her partner in crime, in favor of unscrupulous banker, Archibald Rivers (Augustus Phillips). Rivers steals money from the estate of his ward, Mary Harrison (Margaret Prussing), to shower Lola with luxuries. Lola, meanwhile, is determined to get Mrs. Rivers out of the way, so she takes a cue from Lucrezia Borgia, and uses a ring poisoned with cobra venom. She scratches the woman at a masked ball, and she promptly dies. The Rivers' son, Donald -- who is in love with Mary -- decides to find his mother's killer. By the time he figures out it is Lola, Valasquez has come back around and jealously killed Rivers. Lola uses the cobra venom on herself and dies over her lover's body. So Donald and Mary are left together to try to recoup her fortune -- but at least they have each other.
