Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

It's a cornerstone of the Christian faith that Jesus Christ rose from the dead just over 2,000 years ago, and with modern science affording contemporary theologians the opportunity to investigate this historical event more closely than ever, ABC News anchor Elizabeth Vargas travels to Jerusalem to discover just what events truly transpired in the days following Christ's historical crucifixion. Vargas isn't alone in her quest though, and with the assistance of numerous highly-respected religious scholars and archeologists, the determined reporter explores the mystery of Christ's tomb, and attempts to discover whether he truly walked the Earth in the days after his very public demise, or merely appeared to the faithful as a religious vision.
