Synopsis by Jonathan Crow
Noted television director Isamu Nakae, who is responsible for such top-rated dramas as Love Generation, turns his attention to the silver screen with this international love story. The film centers on Junsei (Yutaka Takenouchi) who lives in Florence and works as an art restorer. His co-worker and mentor, the mature yet beautiful Joanna, is quietly obsessed with the lad, regularly painting portraits of him in the nude. One day, Junsei's college friend shows up on his doorstep and tells him that his ex-girlfriend -- a half Japanese, half-Chinese lass named Aoi (Kelly Chen) -- is in Milan with her wealthy new boyfriend. Junsei hops the next train for Milan and discovers that Aoi's new flame (Michael Won) is a fantastically wealthy Chinese-American. Though he realizes that Aoi is now well out of his economic circle, her icy beauty continues to haunt him. After the painting he was restoring gets vandalized, he returns to Japan and seeks comfort in the arms of Memi (Ryoko Shinohara). Unfulfilled, he returns to Italy, hoping to re-unite with his true love.
