When a high-profile criminal stages a daring escape from the feds, only to discover that he has been betrayed by the partner who mistakenly assumed that he was dead, his loyal servant sets out for revenge in this South of the Border crime thriller starring Fernando Almada and Hugo Stiqlitz. El Chaca is lucky to be alive after nearly being taken by the authorities, and after landing back on his feet he sets about rebuilding his once lucrative underworld empire from the ground up. Despite having eventually come out on top, however, El Chaca is disturbed to learn that during his absence former associate Mariano has betrayed the organization. As El Chaca's friends and associates arrive to celebrate the respected kingpin's birthday, faithful associate Barbarino determines to give his boss the best gift possible by hunting down the devious Mariano and making him pay for his unforgivable transgression.
