Synopsis by Matthew Tobey

Featuring none of the band's actual music, Red Hot Chili Peppers: Rock Your Socks Off is an unauthorized documentary that attempts to offer fans a glimpse into the history of the Anthony Kiedis-led, seminal funk-rock outfit. Along with footage of a two-year old Kiedis in his father's student film, this documentary features an array of anecdotes about the Chili Peppers' climb to stardom, from tales of its early Los Angeles club shows to the story behind the band members' tendency to wear well-placed gym-socks to the several drug-related tragedies and struggles that nearly led them to the group's demise on multiple occasions.
