Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Such familiar Hollywood faces as Eduardo Cianelli and Douglass Dumbrille are prominently featured in the Italian Rapture. Glenn Langan stars as Pietro Leoni, an artist, seeking inspiration abroad. While soaking in atmosphere at an old castle, Leoni sees beautiful young American Francesca Hutton (Elsy Albiin) taking a nocturnal swim. Upon ascertaining that the girl is not a figment of his imagination, the artist convinces Francesca to pose for him. Not unexpectedly, they fall in love, but their future happiness is threatened by such sinister elements as sibling rivalry and latent insanity. Though filmed and financed in Italy, Rapture is enacted in English.
