Synopsis by Maggie Sadler
Stephen Olvey, a medical student and Nascar fan, receives a significant opportunity to volunteer for the Indianapolis 500's medical squad for the 1966 race. However, his on-the-ground experience opens his eyes to the realities of car racing, in which the athletes he has idolized and befriended receive almost no medical attention despite the dangers of the sport. He then resolves to alter the face of motorsports forever, using the latest advancements in science to guarantee the safety of its participants.
