Synopsis by Janiss Garza
This Western was one of W.S. Van Dyke's first directorial efforts. New Yorker Ruth Harkness (Ruth King) inherits the Flying W Ranch and heads out west with her aunt, uncle, and fiancé Willard Masten (Carl Stockdale). A couple of cowboys are plotting to wrestle possession of the ranch away from the naive Ruth, and they convince her to hire them. She also hires Rex Randerson (Jack Gardner) as foreman. Randerson falls in love with Ruth, which infuriates Masten to such a degree that he teams up with the cowboys because he want Randerson dead. But their plans wind up endangering Ruth, too, before Randerson bravely vanquishes the villain and saves her. Meanwhile, Masten has gotten involved with a girl from a nearby ranch and has to marry her, leaving Ruth and Randerson free to pursue their romance.
