Gujarati filmmaker V.M. Vyas directs this historical drama and tribute to marital fidelity. Though Siddharah Jaisinh, the king of Solanki, wants to marry the beautiful Ranak, who is the daughter of the Parmar king despite being raised by a humble artesian, she marries King Ra'Khengar of Junagadh. As a result, the two kingdoms go to war. Ranak is eventually captured and sequestered for 12 years, though she never submits to Siddharah's unsavory advances. When the evil king kills her husband in battle, she leaps upon her husband's burning funeral pyre, committing sati.
