Synopsis by Augustine Chay
Kenyan director Wanuri Kahiu’s lesbian coming-of-age drama is based on short story by Ugandan writer Monica Arac de Nyeko. As an election looms ahead in Nairobi, two daughters of rival aspiring politicians fall in love with each other. In a country where homosexuality is illegal, their romance can only survive in private.
