Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Adapted from writer/director Ryu Murakami's semi-autobiographical novel Almost Transparent Blue, Raffles Hotel follows an actress named Moeko as she arrives on Singapore determined to track down the man she loves. Shortly after checking in at the Raffles Hotel, Moeko discovers that her longtime love Kariya lives in a lavish house with his wife and young children. Unable to resist the temptation to see Kariya, Moeko enters his home under the shroud of darkness and stands directly before him with her camera in hand. The second the sound of the shutter echoes through the quiet room, Moeko has vanished as quickly as she appeared.
