Emmett (Peter Paige) is making a huge name for himself by pleasuring himself on the internet, and Ted (Scott Lowell) is raking in the dough. But when Emmett decides he wants a bigger share of the pie, Ted decides that Emmett can easily be replaced. Michael (Hal Sparks) tells Ben (Robert Gant) he's still interested after Ben's announcement that he's HIV-positive. The rest of the gang is less enthusiastic about the new relationship. Deb (Sharon Gless) is particularly worried about it, and even gets into a fight with Vic (Jack Wetherall), telling him that it's the first time she's ever wished that Michael wasn't gay. With their wedding coming up, Lindsay (Thea Gill) and Mel (Michelle Clunie) are a little strapped for cash. Lindsay decides to see if her uptight parents (Don Allison and Pixie Bigelow), who have always paid for the multiple weddings of her hetero sisters, will lend them a hand. When they respond with insult, Mel suggests that Lindsay invite them over for a brunch so they can see for themselves that the gang is a "real" family. As the brunch gets underway, Leda (Nancy Sakovich) meets Brian (Gale Harold), and they hit it off. When Lindsay's parents cancel at the last minute, things take a surprising turn.
