Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Racing breathlessly into Popeye's living room, Olive Oyl shows him a newspaper bearing the headline VAUDEVILLE COMING BACK! (For the benefit of those who came in late, Vaudeville was a popular form of variety entertainment which flourished on the American stage from 1880 to 1932). Inspired by this good news, Popeye and Oliver pull their theatrical wardrobe out of mothballs and begin rehearsing their old song-and-dance routine, throwing a few feats of strength and acrobatics in for good measure. But when all is said and done, it is Popeye who steals the show with his spot-on impersonations of Jimmy Durante, Stan Laurel and Groucho Marx.
