Synopsis by Mark Deming
Photographer Mick Rock earned an international reputation for his images of David Bowie when the shape-shifting British rocker rose to fame in his "Ziggy Stardust" phase, and he went on to create iconic cover photos for Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, the Ramones, Queen and many other major rock acts of the Seventies. Punk Drunk Love: The Images of Mick Rock is a DVD release containing a portfolio of Rock's best and best-known photos, designed to play as a video slideshow (the screen time for the images can be adjusted by the viewer) and featuring concert shots, studio images and candid snaps of Bowie, Reed, Pop, Syd Barrett, Mick Jagger, Andy Warhol, Roxy Music, Mott The Hoople, the cast of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and many more.
