Synopsis by Nathan Southern
With the social activist documentary Project Kashmir, co-directors Geeta Patel and Senain Kheshgi embark on a detailed cinematic assessment of the Kashmiri war, and find themselves helplessly torn between conflicting personal biases, their friendship sorely tested by circumstance. As the paths of the women (both American expatriates) intersect with those of their Kashmiri countrymen, they grapple the tremendous inner struggle to synch their own religious and sociopolitical convictions up with the blight that plagues their homeland.
