Synopsis by Jinko Labitag
12-year-old Alicia Willis (Tayler Buck) is her father Bo’s (Edi Gathegi) little princess. After arriving back from Iraq as a war veteran, however, Bo has changed dramatically: he is now suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder which causes him to barely speak and be in a daze most of the time. When the VA system fails him, he is forced to live on the streets, therefore losing custody of Alicia. The young girl is then pushed into the foster care system, where she meets the passionate social worker Magdalene (Ana Ortiz). Directed by Van Maximilian Carlson.
