Synopsis by Steve Blackburn
Shot on location in the ocean habitat of the "killer whale," this video is part of a multi-volume Time Warner series that markets the ferocious, killing aspects of various wild animals. The so-called killer whale isn't actually a whale at all, but is part of the dolphin family. Adult males grow to lengths approaching 25 feet, and while they mostly feed on fish, the orca also eats sea turtles, penguins, seals, porpoise, and baleen whales. However, it does not attack humans in the wild. Other titles in the series are Predators of the Wild: Cheetah and Leopard, Predators of the Wild: Grizzly Bear, Predators of the Wild: Lion, Predators of the Wild: Shark, and Predators of the Wild: Hunters and Hunted.
