Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper) is a small-town Texas preacher with a difference: he's possessed by the offspring of an angel and a demon. His obsessive quest to find God after the entity destroys his church is aided by ex-girlfriend Tulip O'Hare (Ruth Negga) and vampire best buddy Cassidy (Joe Gilgun), as both heaven and hell throw everything they've got in his path.
