The New York-based Power Pilates company introduces a series of programs based on the Pilates method of "core conditioning" - the strengthening of the abdominals, back, and buttocks. Company founder Dr. Howard Sichel, a chiropractor who recognized the importance of this core strength in overall health and fitness, created easy-to-follow workouts for varying fitness levels. This program features a workout designed specifically for women who have recently given birth. The exercises help postnatal viewers gradually recover the strength and muscle tone lost during pregnancy. The program includes demonstrations of the ideal way to perform the moves, as well as tips for modifying them according to special fitness needs.
