After director Chris Roe's parents divorce, his father, Richard, decides to celebrate his 50th birthday by taking a lengthy international trip. When Chris convinces his father to let him come along, they set off on a six-month journey to interview fathers and sons all over the globe. Their candid interviews with everyone from New Zealand farmers to musician Julian Lennon reveal the deep bond between a father and son, and Chris and Richard find themselves working on their own relationship.
