Synopsis by Mark Deming
There's out-of-this-world excitement in store in this home video release of material from the popular animated television series Pokemon. Ash Ketchum is determined to become the world's number one Pokemon trainer -- and has thus far captured two of the unusual critters. But that leaves him with 148 more Pokemon to go, so with the help of Pikachu he journeys to Mount Moon, where the all-powerful Moon Stone is buried deep within the soil. The stone can help Ash tame the creatures, but he soon finds himself battling his rival Brock and the unscrupulous Team Rocket as he and Pikachu struggle to be the first to find the Moon Stone.
