Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
Having survived a death-defying plunge into the ocean in the opening chapter of Universal's Pirate Treasure, adventurer-turned-treasure hunter Dick Moreland (Richard Talmadge) makes it back to dry land only to discover that his enemies have absconded not only with the map to the pirate treasure but also lovely Dorothy Craig (Lucille Lund). The frightened girl is imprisoned in the top floor of a loft building but the hero manages to release her after climbing the drainpipe. But as Dorothy watches with horror from her car below, the villain's henchmen toss the seemingly helpless Dick off the top floor of the tall building.
