Chapter seven of Universal's Pirate Treasure reveals that Dick Moreland (Richard Talmadge) not only survives the plunge over the cliff but also manages to find the treasure map in the wreckage of his car. The nefarious Brasset (Walter Miller), meanwhile, has insinuated himself into the expedition along with henchmen Curt (Ethan Laidlaw) and Tony (Al Ferguson). The loading of the Lottie Carson can begin but as Dick's airplane is being hoisted on board, a rope breaks and he falls to the deck below.
