Synopsis
The newsman examines how an obscure chemical compound developed in 1912 has evolved into Ecstasy, a popular recreational drug used in the 21st century. Included: a profile of the first chemist to document the effects of Ecstasy; the drug dealer who gave it its name; the drug-enforcement officer who was instrumental in making it illegal; and a DJ who helped popularize the drug in America.
