Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
A brother and sister face impossible odds as they work toward leaving the ghetto in this engaging drama by novice director Teo Kofman. Mingo (Emilio Bardi) has never looked for a regular job but steals money wherever he can, while his sister Mecha (Gabriela Flores) works in low-paying, menial jobs to eke out a living for both of them. Their life changes when Mingo is caught stealing and sent to jail. While in prison, he learns that he can essentially become a pimp for his sister in the rural areas of the country where customers line up at "sing-and-strip" joints.
