Synopsis by Jonathan Crow
Hong Kong exploitation king Wong Jing remakes the 1981 Dudley Moore vehicle Arthur, starring Wilson Lam Chun-yin as Tien-chi -- a 30-year-old virgin who must tie the knot in a month's time lest he lose his 300-million-dollar inheritance. He first woos the aggressively cheerful Hsiao-hsiao (Michelle Lee Kar-yan), but the outgoing lass runs afoul of Tien-chi's mother and with little fanfare is soon dumped. After interviewing a series of women, Tien-chi's mom settles for a voluptuous policewoman (Monica Chan Fat-yung) who manages to foil a burglary right before Tien-chi's eyes. The feckless scion, however, has eyes for Mu-jen (Nina Li Chi) -- a stunning runway model who has been hired by his slimy cousin to lure him away from his inherence. Meanwhile, Hsiao-hsiao keeps trying to finagle her way back into Tien-chi's life.
