This film is a curious artifact of the USSR's involvement in Afghanistan's so-called civil war, which united many different factions in that deeply divided country against the Soviet-sponsored puppet government. Shortly before the USSR threw in the towel and left unilaterally, this badly edited film, made by that puppet government, was released. In the story, various gangs and factions are at war with one another in the countryside, and ordinary people suffer from that. Reportedly, this film also contains some documentary footage of refugee camps and of the pre-war lifestyle of that mountainous and warlike land.
