Pepsi Smash (sponsored by guess which soft drink company) was the WB network's effort to bring back the good old-fashioned variety series format. Boasting a different celebrity host per week (Amanda Bynes showed up in the opener), the series featured live, uncut performances from such top musical attractions as Foo Fighters, Ashanti, and Beyoncé Knowles. Additionally, the program offered a weekly countdown of the best and most popular tunes. Pepsi Smash debuted July 16, 2003.
