Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
Uninspired and subpar, this film by Frans Zwartjes is a collage of scenes that involve the abuse of women. Women are shunted from pillar to post, beaten up, dragged around, and raped by Asian men with no apparent rhyme or reason. It is difficult to understand what the director had in mind since no one today is likely to sympathize with this blatant violence. The opposite is likely to be true. Many viewers, not just women and those of East Asian descent, would object to the way the women are depicted in this film and the implications of portraying their abusers as racially different from them.
