Synopsis by Steve Blackburn
CNN presents a retrospective about Japanese sneak attack against Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, an event which was seared into collective consciousness of Americans as the "day which will live in infamy." Hosted by CNN news anchor Bob Cain, this program presents film footage, commentary, and analysis of the events leading up to and including the assault on U.S. Navy forces in Hawaii on a quiet Sunday morning. Highlights include archival battlefield footage and an examination of the results of the attack, which catapulted the until-then isolationist United States into World War II.
